1948: Creation of the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie (ENSCS, Higher National School of Chemistry) by Professor H. Forestier
1986: The ENSCS becomes the École Européenne des Hautes Études des Industries Chimiques de Strasbourg (EHICS, the European School of Advanced Studies in the Chemical Industries, Strasbourg)
1995: Creation of the ECPM through a merger of the EHICS, the School for the Application of High Polymers and the Advanced Master's Degree in Materials Science from Louis Pasteur University (Strasbourg)
1998: The ECPM moves to its new buildings on the Strasbourg-Cronenbourg Campus
