Languages
ECPM engineers are trilingual when they graduate. To achieve this, languages are a key priority, not only in the dedicated language courses, but also in the scientific teaching.
Language teaching
Each student learns 2 languages: English as the first, with the choice of either German or Spanish as the second. International students learn French as their second language. It is possible to learn German as a complete beginner.
A third language is also possible (at beginning or intermediate levels): German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese are offered.
Scientific courses in 3 languages
Scientific coursework is given in 3 languages — French, English and German — by professors from the ECPM and from other countries.
20% of the scientific coursework is given in English, and 9% is offered in German. Coursework offered in German is also given in French for those who don't speak German.
Scientific coursework in English
In the first year, some scientific coursework is given only in English. In the third-year, all the scientific coursework is given in English.
Scientific coursework in German
Some scientific coursework is offered conjointly in German and in French. The German version is for students who are already proficient in German. Other students take these classes in French.
